Payment:

Although payment is expected at time of service, at La Casa Family Health Center we offer a unique sliding fee scale, so even if you don't have insurance you can be seen at La Casa. After reviewing your annual income we can determine the appropriate payment level. This fee schedule can result in reduced healthcare costs or co-pay. As a courtesy, our billing department will be glad to assist you in setting up a payment plan you are comfortable with. If you would like more information about our sliding fee scale just call one of our clinics for assistance.

Medications:

Having health insurance doesn't necessarily guarantee prescription cost coverage. Today, New Mexicans are spending more out of pocket for their medications. We want to help! La Casa Family Health Center is offering major access to medicines through our pharmacy assistance program. To find out if you qualify, contact us for more information about this program.

Families FIRST:

The Families FIRST program is sponsored by the New Mexico Department of Health, Medicaid and La Casa Family Health Center.  This program has been set up to assist Medicaid eligible pregnant women and their children up to the age of three years. At La Casa Family Health Center, we know how important quality healthcare is for pregnant women and children.  If you are ineligible for Families FIRST or Medicaid, you can take advantage of our low-cost comprehensive maternity care program.  Payment arrangements can be made over a 9 month period. Proof of income will be needed to determine if you qualify for the sliding fee scale.

Child Assistance:

One out of five children are not covered by any health insurance. We know how important healthcare is in the early stages of life. We support the New MexiKids program to ensure your child is getting proper healthcare to grow strong and healthy. New MexiKids is no cost or low cost health coverage for children under 19 years old. New MexiKids pays for regular check-ups, doctor visits, dental visits, hospital care, prescriptions, glasses and hearing and vision exams. Other services may be covered if they are medically necessary. Our highly trained staff can even help you with the Medicaid insurance application. Ask to speak with our Outreach Coordinator at (575) 356.6695.

Out-Reach:

La Casa Family Health Center provides an outreach program to aide patients in easing financial burden by linking them to agencies that provide assistance including, food vouchers, energy and rental assistance, as well as education expenses for those who qualify.  We can help with enrollment in Medicaid which provides coverage for health care and prescription costs for children and pregnant women who qualify.

The State of New Mexico provides the New Mexico State Coverage Insurance (NMSCI) for low-income adults with family incomes up to 200% of federal poverty level.  To learn more about the NMSCI program, click on the New Mexico Human Services link located in the box to the left.

The State Children’s Health Insurance Program is similar to Medicaid, but requires a very low co-pay for children of families who do not qualify for full coverage Medicaid, but do fall under the guideline for SCHIP.
