Jessie is a New Mexico native. She was born in Roswell, NM and was raised Albuquerque. She has returned to New Mexico after spending 4 years in Houston, Texas. Jessie received her Associates in Nursing from Apollo College of Nursing in 2007, she later pursued a Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. In the fall of 2019. she graduated with her Masters in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. As a registered nurse, she is a certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse. Jessie has previously worked for the University of New Mexico Hospital and Texas Children's Hospital. Pediatrics has always been Jessie's passion, even as a child she says she would pretend to care for children in one capacity or another. She has been fortunate enough to spend 14 years in healthcare working with the pediatric population and their families. In this new role at La Casa Family Health Center, Jessie says she is excited to provide the tools that empower patients and their families to improve their health and wellbeing. Being a NM native, Jessie is invested in its success. She wants to see all children and adolescents be awarded the opportunity to thrive, succeed, and help our community grow to its fullest potential. Jessie states she has been blessed with a supportive spouse and they have three amazing children. Two daughters 21 and 26 years of age and their 4-year-old son. In her downtime, she likes to get together with family and friends, camping both lakeside and mountains, reading a great book, and binge-watching Netflix.
