Certified Family Nurse Practitioner Clinical Specialist Dr. Caloor is originally from Iran, and moved to the United States when he was 18. He has been a lifelong student and has attended college seven times.

He has a Masters Degree in biological science, nursing, and psychopharmacology. He obtained his doctorate in 2012 from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals in Utah. Dr. Caloor has served as an OR and ER nurse, the Director of Nursing, and been a clinician with his own practice for the past 15 years. He has also served as an instructor at both the high school and college level. His goal is to reduce hospital admissions as he wants to see his patients live full, productive, stable lives. He believes early detection of mental illness in a primary care setting is key. In his spare time Dr. Caloor enjoys jogging, martial arts, and biking. He is also a news enthusiast and an expert in chess.

Dr. Jimenez has worked in the area of mental health serving clients for most of his life. In Roswell, NM he worked for Counseling Associates Inc. for 14 years between 1999 and 2013.

Following his time there, he worked for Turquoise Health and Wellness. Mr. Jimenez is glad to be part of La Casa Community Behavioral Health Services, an organization which has been serving local communities for almost 40 years. He is grateful for the opportunity to help mental health clients through La Casa’s service offerings.

Chuck has worked in the social work arena for twelve years. He acquired his Associate of Arts in Human Services (with Honors) along with his Certificate of Occupational Training in Human Services:

Helping Relationship Skills (with Honors) in 2004. He then acquired his Bachelor of Generalist Practice Social Work in 2006. In 2011, he graduated with his Master of Social Work in Clinical Practice degree. Mr. Ivy has worked in several social work roles: peer counseling, independent living specialist, life skills coach, career counseling, case worker, educator, substance abuse counseling, chemical dependency unit director, and clinical therapy. He currently serves as a clinical therapist at La Casa Behavioral Health. Chuck has also been a musician for almost 30 years, playing in several bands and recording multiple albums.

Brenda Leos has worked her entire professional life serving students in the Roswell and Albuquerque area.

Ms. Leos worked as a school teacher for seven years before making a career change as a school guidance and mental health counselor. During her time as a counselor, she continued to work for the Roswell Independent School District, New Mexico Military Institute and as a Crossroads Counselor serving the Albuquerque Public School District (APS). During her stay with APS, Ms. Leos served as a prevention /intervention alcohol and substance abuse counselor. Ms. Leos accepted a position with SL START/NM Works assisting adults who were ready to leave a life of alcohol and substance use before coming to La Casa Behavioral Health. When not working with youth, Ms. Leos enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering in the community, gardening, and spending time with her pets Draco and Bella.

Bobby HeardLCSW, LADAC Clinical Director
Bobby graduated from ENMU-R with an Associates in Human Services and a Certificate in Substance Abuse Studies in 2005. He began his internship at the New Mexico Rehabilitation Center in the Chemical Dependency Unit and at CYFD Child Protection Services.

He went on to earn both a Bachelor’s and Masters of Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University in 2009. During that time Bobby was Assistant Director of Wings for LIFE and participated in development of the First Steps to Reunification program directed at families and children with life challenges. He worked for six years at Counseling Associates and later served as the Behavioral Health Manager at Roswell Correction Center. Bobby is an avid online gamer, motorcycle enthusiast, and loves helping others.

This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
